Artisanal honey from Lake Maggiore is produced directly in the fixed apiary in Stresa, within Parco Pallavicino. About 10-12 hives are located here. As this is a completely natural production process, the availability of the types of honey varies depending on production and ranges from chestnut to wildflower to acacia and ailanthus honey. Excellent to eat by the spoonful to appreciate their quality, this honeys is also used to set off the flavors of certain dishes. With its slightly pungent notes, chestnut honey makes a perfect accompaniment to goat cheese.
