The printed pattern featured in this collection of foulards is inspired by the floral subjects of the painter Giovanni Saglier, who between 1670 and 1690 produced many of the works of art at the sumptuous estate. Done on slate and marble, these works are on display at Borromeo Palace on Isola Bella. The spectacular compositions of masses of cut flowers tied in colorful ribbons decorate the Sala delle Pietre Dipinte, the Sala del Trono, and the adjacent Sala della Regina in the Palace. The silk georgette foulards, which are made in Italy, faithfully reproduce lively anemones, irises and tulips, and are available on beige or green background.
